A Pitbull pup named, Titan, blocks owner, John Benton from going to work by barking, running up and down the stairs in order to gain Benton's attention. Once Benton caught on he followed Titan upstairs to find his wife had suffered a brain aneurysm and fractured her skull from falling. Had Benton not followed Titan upstairs to the bedroom, she may have not suffered. Titan has been recognized with the "Neighbor of the Year" award with his heroic efforts.
Pitbulls have such a bad reputation of being an agressive breed, but I believe that this is not always the case. I highly believe it is how the owner raises the dog and not solely based on its breed. To say that Pitbulls are all agressive is a stereotype. This stereotype is growing rapidly that even apartment communities have adapted this opinion. Certain apartment complexes ban certain dog breeds because they are believed to be agressive. I know some Yorkies that are agressive, but because of their size they do not fall within this stereotype. This stereotype is enacting racism towards the dogs, but within the different breeds, do not be a breedist!
